Jackie Fay Robinson, 84

 Jackie Fay Robinson of Sanders died Friday, February 10. He was 84.
Mr. Robinson was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of the University of Kentucky and the Cincinnati Bible Seminary in Cincinnati. He attended Princeton University through a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship Scholarship.
He was a professor of history and philosophy of science at Syracuse University and a minister in the Church of Christ.
He is well known for performing in The Robinson Family Entertainment Group which he and his wife founded. With their children, they traveled all over the United States.
After winning a talent contest, they were invited to the New York State Fair and cut their first album at a studio in Nashville, Tennessee. They did national ad commercials and once had a contract with the Chevron Oil Company.
He was a member of the English Christian Church in Carrollton.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Stephenson Robinson of Sanders; two sons, Mark Andrew Wood Robinson of Sanders and Terry Matthew Robinson of New York; four daughters, Rachel Dawn Lucille Smith of Arizona, Rebekah Ruth Cluxton, Julia Anna Jaddock and Susannah B Holder of Georgetown; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, George Robinson.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Northside Christian Church in Georgetown. Bro. Jerry Culley and Bro. Joe Carroway will conduct the funeral immediately following visitation. Burial will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Williamstown.
Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton handled the arrangements.
