Carl Lewis Leek, 81

 Carl Lewis Leek of Verona died Wednesday, December 7, at home. He was 81.
Mr. Leek was retired after working as a truck mechanic for Rocket Transport/Emery Worldwide. After retirement, he worked as a mechanic for Gleason Trucking and Newman Tractor in Verona for more than 10 years. He was a former member of Teamsters Local 100. He loved spending his free time at Lake Cumberland and always loved camping.
He is survived by one son, Clifford Thomas Leek; one sister, Alice Lustenburg of Verona; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Leek; one son, Barry Leek; two brothers, Tommy and Walter Leek; and one sister, Shirley Ryle.
Visitation was held Tuesday, December 13, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. The funeral was conducted immediately following visitation. Burial was at New Bethel Cemetery.
