James Ruel Foster, 54

 James Ruel Foster died Wednesday, November 23, at Gallatin Nursing and Rehab in Warsaw. He was 54.
Mr. Foster was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After being honorably discharged, he trained as a Master Carpenter and became licensed as a general contractor. He owned James Foster Construction.
He was an Eagle Scout from Troop 50 in Fulton, Missouri. He continued to love and support scouting and assisted Troop 727 in Burlington, where he mentored many young men, including his son, Samuel, to also achieve the rank of Eagle.
He is survived by his wife, Tammi L. Foster; two children, Jessica Frances Foster and Samuel Robert Foster; three sisters, Anne Frances Foster, Elizabeth DeGeer and Katherine Condray Russell; step-grandfather, James B. Ford. He was preceded in death by his mother, Roxanne DeGeer Russell; his father, Edward Francis Foster; grandmother, Harriett DeGeer Ford; and grandfather, Eugene Raleigh Amyx.
A celebration of his life is being planned.
