Edith Goad Rider, 86

 Warsaw resident Edith Goad Rider, known as “Boots”, died Thursday, September 8, at her home. She was 86.
Mrs. Rider and her husband, Richard “Dobie” Rider owned and operated Rider’s Car Care in Sparta for many years.
She was a member of the Warsaw Baptist Church where she and her husband served in many capacities for more than 60 years.
She is survived by one son, Greg Rider of Walton; one daughter, Deb Ellis of Warsaw; one brother, Eugene Goad of Dixon; two grandchildren, Tera Henry and Thomas Ellis; and three great-grandchildren, Madison and Macee Lewis and Serenity Ellis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dobie” Rider; one son, Rick Rider Jr., three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation was Monday, September 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw.
Bro. Ken Ritchie and Bro. Darrell Maines conducted the funeral service immediately following visitation. Burial was at the Warsaw Cemetery.
