David M. Miles, 75

 Carrollton resident David M. Miles died Sunday, August 7, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He was 75.
Mr. Miles was a member of Sanders Baptist Church.
He owned Miller Taxi Service in Carrollton before retiring. He had served as Carroll County Jailer for more than 20 years and was a school bus driver and custodian for 12 years for the Carroll County Board of Education.
He had previously been employed by General Electric in Louisville and Anamag Corp. in Carrollton.
He is survived by his wife, Norma J. Yancey Miles of Carrollton; three daughters, Dorothy Ann Miles of Warsaw, Kimberly Williamson of Warsaw, and Sharla Thompson of Madison, Indiana; one son, Michael R. Miles of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Charles “Billy” Miles of Murray, and Terry Miles of Perry Park; six sisters, Rita Booth, Patsy Miles, Rebecca McBurney, Anita Kelso, Jackie Griffin and Debbie Bickers; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Norbert Miles, Sr., and one sister, Betty Couch.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home on Highland Avenue in Carrollton.
Rev. Kenny French and Rev. Denny French will conduct the funeral service, Saturday, August 20, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Warsaw Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Carroll County Relay for Life in care of the funeral home.
