James Marion Thompson, 65

  James Marion Thompson, 65, and a resident of Warsaw, died Saturday, January 2, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, while surrounded by his family. Born December 14, 1950, he is the son of Evelyn Thompson of Verona and the late Marion Thompson.
James was a driver for Irving Materials in Georgetown, Ky. He leaves great memories to be cherished by his wife, Alexis Marlene Thompson; one son, James Brian Thompson (Kaycee) of Warsaw; one daughter, Cybil Griffin (Mark) of Union; five grandchildren, Avery Griffin, and Owen, Kaydee, Nicholas and Koree Thompson; three brothers, Bill, Dennis and Calvin Thompson; and eight sisters, Pat Webster, Cathy Mullins, Jessie Stone, Reba Ewing, Judy Rice, Mary Rice, Sharon Waits, and Tracy Nimmer.
James never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. Some of his interests included gardening, working on automobiles, watching NASCAR, teasing his grandchildren and taking care of wildlife. More than anything, James loved to spend time with all of his family. He will be missed greatly by all of his family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral home in Warsaw.
Bro. Denny French will conduct the funeral service immediately following visitation.
Burial will be at Paint Lick Cemetery.
