Ruben Donald Bingham, 88

 Mt. Zion resident Ruben Donald Bingham died Wednesday, May 27, at his home. He was 88.
Mr. Bingham worked as a soil conservationist for 24 years and retired from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture in 1984.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served as deacon and taught Sunday School for 60 years.
He formerly served as moderator, clerk and treasurer for the Ten Mile Baptist Association and was a member of the Gideons.
He is survived by his wife, Fredericka Ferrell Bingham; two daughters, Garlene Glacken-Haley of Dry Ridge and Gracella Morris of North Carolina; one son, Harold Ray Bingham of Warsaw; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 30, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The arrangements were handled by Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge.
