Courtney Paige Thompson, 14

 Dry Ridge resident Courtney Paige Thompson was found shot to death Thursday, March 19, in her Grant County neighborhood. Kentucky State Police are still investigating. She was 14.
Courtney was a student at Grant County Middle School where she was a cheerleader for the competition squad, and on the high school softball team. She enjoyed the outdoors, skateboarding and was a member of Revive Church in Williamstown.
She is survived by her mother, Myka Jo Taylor; father, Christopher Allen Thompson of Covington; stepfather, Ronreaco Williams of Dry Ridge; five brothers, Aiden Taylor Williams and Markell Williams of Dry Ridge, Donovan Thompson and Christopher Thompson Jr. of Kansas, and Kingston Thompson of Covington; two sisters, Myshayla and Raniya Williams of Dry Ridge; maternal grandmother, Louvea Taylor of Dry Ridge; maternal grandfather, Mike Taylor of Berea; paternal grandmother, Terry Glossinger of Covington; and paternal grandfather, Chuck (Tammy) Thompson of Erlanger.
Visitation was held Sunday, March 22, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. The funeral service was held immediately following visitation.
