Ben Ethridge, 80

 Union resident Ben Ethridge died Thursday, September 23, at his home. He was 80 years old.
Mr. Ethridge was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean War. He retired from Delta Airlines where he worked as a Customer Service Agent. He continued to work as a farmer.
He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Miles of Warsaw and Diane Johnson of Walton; two brothers, James “Jimmy” Ethridge of Glencoe and Robert Ethridge of Lexington, S.C.; four sisters, Patricia Thorton of Mt. Pillar, Ohio, Marilyn and Charlotte Ethridge of Carson City, Nevada, and Carol Minton of Melbourne, Florida; one granddaughter, Lauren Johnson of Walton and one step-grandson, Layne Miles of Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Sue McNeely Ethridge; and one son, Gerald Ethridge.
Visitation was held Tuesday, September 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw.
The funeral service was held immediately following visitation. Burial was at Napoleon Cemetery in Gallatin County.
