Thomas Madin Wilson, 79

 Georgia resident Thomas Madin Wilson died Friday, September 19, at Crestview Rehabilitation Center in Florida after a long illness. He was 79.
A native of Sparta, Mr. Wilson graduated from Warsaw High School in 1954 and Eastern Kentucky State College in 1958. He was inducted into the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant because of his ROTC participation in college. He served in the U.S. Army for nine years, including a 13-month tour of duty in Vietnam. He was promoted to the rank of major before his honorable discharge in 1967.
In 1968, he moved to California and flew a commercial airline for TransWorld Airlines. In 1992, he moved to Florida, where he retired. In 2013, he moved to Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Joyce Wilson of Georgia; two daughters, Sandra Helena Wilson of Pennsylvania and Cynthia Jo Rogers of North Carolina; one brother, J.R. (Dicky) Wilson, of Sparta.
A funeral mass and burial will be held Wednesday, October 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Warsaw, beginning at 11 a.m.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of donorís choice.
