Melba Boots, 88

 Campbellsville resident Melba Boots died Thursday, May 15, at Greensburg. She was 88 years old.
Mrs. Boots was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. She had taught Sunday School, training union, WMU, Gas, Acteens and Bible School.
She retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and had worked at the pencil factory in Georgetown.
She is survived by one son, Vernon Boots of Nevada; two daughters, Carolyn Reynolds of Ohio and Brenda Franklin of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters, Charles Vernon Hall, Lillie Ann Lillard, Lucy Grisham, Aileen Carlton and Jesse Lee Carver.
Pastor Vernon Boots and Rev. John Chownng conducted the funeral service Monday, May 19, at 1 p.m. at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Memorials are suggested to Gideon Bibles or Meadowview Baptist Church and may be made at the funeral home.
