Thomas Shupert Webster, 74

 Owenton resident Thomas Shupert Webster died Saturday, October 5, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. He was 74 years old.
Mr. Webster was a member of the Sanders Baptist Church. He retired from the Owen County Road Department as a mechanic.
He was also a farmer and worked for many years with Lexington Granite and Nicholasville Monument Company. He enjoyed fishing, mowing and playing cards with his friends each morning.
Mr. Webster is survived by his wife, Phyllis Woosley Webster; one son, Gregory Webster; one sister, DeEtta McCormick of Ghent; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several step-great-grandchildren. His aunt, Pansy Adams, is a resident of Warsaw.
Visitation was held Tuesday, October 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at McDonald & New Funeral Home in Owenton. Bro. Hardin Lowe conducted the funeral service immediately following visitation. A private burial was held at the Webster Family Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Sanders Baptist Church.
