Rollin "Ron" C. Strawn, 84

 Verona resident Rollin “Ron” C. Strawn died Saturday, June 26. He was 84 years old.
Mr. Strawn worked as an accountant. He was in the Marine Corps and served during World War II and the Korean War. He was an avid clogger and member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Eula Smoot Strawn of Verona; two sons, Pete Strawn of Nashville, Tenn., and Ruben Baker of Verona; five daughters, Jamie Baker-Nantz of Dry Ridge, Shirley Erion of Verona, Karen Judy and Missy Biddle of Warsaw, and Cindi Frohlich of Florence; one sister, Pearl Konnersman of Finley, Ohio; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, June 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home. The funeral service was held Tuesday, June 29, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Matt Cobb, Mike Cobb, Jesse Strawn, Ed Brown, Virgil Walters and Kevin Anderson.
Memorials are suggested to the Grant County Relay for Life.
