Robert S. "Heavy" Thomas, 82

 Carrollton resident Robert S. “Heavy” Thomas died Wednesday, March 13. He was 82 years old.
Mr. Thomas was a former bulldozer and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Worthville Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Rob Thomas of Worthville; and Troy and David Aldridge of Carrollton; two daughters, Shelly Aldridge of Carrollton and Rhonda Mikel of Warsaw; one sister, Roonie Johnson of Carrollton; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Hoskins Thomas; two sons, Mike Aldridge and Jerry Craig; two sisters, Marjorie Spenneberg and Emmie Hunter; and three brothers, Bill, Boss and Buddy Thomas.
Visitation was held Friday, March 15, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton. Pastor Pat Butcher conducted the funeral service Saturday, March 16, at 11 a.m., also at the church. Burial was at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
Memorials are suggested to the National Parkinson Foundation in care of Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton.
