Richard Scott Peck, 40

 Richard Scott Peck died Thursday, June 17, at his home. He was 40 years old.
Capt. Peck was a firefighter and paramedic with the Gallatin County Fire and EMS and formerly served with the Irvine Fire Dept. Walton Fire Dept., Madison County EMS and the Estill County EMS.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Warsaw; father, Ricky Peck of Warsaw; mother, Sandy King of Richmond; stepmother, Wanda Peck of Warsaw; one son, Daniel Masters of Warsaw; one daughter, Kaylon Peck of Irvine; one sister, Suann McGuire of Warsaw; four brothers, John and Tyler Peck of Warsaw and B.J. King and Daaron King of Richmond; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Monday, June 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Gallatin County High School Auditorium. Stuart Dawson, Bob Hightchew and Darrell Maines conducted the funeral service Tuesday, June 22, at 10 a.m., also at the school.
Serving as pallbearers from the Irvine Fire Dept. were Tony Murphy, Randy Lovin, Justin Patrick, Jeremy Stewart, John Wise and Jimmy Wise. Serving as pallbearers from the Gallatin County Fire Dept. was Chief Barry Alexander, Deputy Chief Barry Alexander, Assistant Chief Travis Simpson, Capt. Dwayne Baum, Capt. Brandon Terrell, Capt. Nick Boots, Capt. Jason Riddle and Capt. Jackie Caldwell.
Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
