Apolonia Mijares Alforte "Polly" Spenneberg, 89

 Carrollton resident Apolonia Mijares Alforte “Polly” Spenneberg died Monday, June 14, at Gallatin Health Care. She was 89 years old.
Mrs. Spenneberg was a former cook at General Butler State Park and Resort. She was a member of the Carrollton Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by two daughters, Salome Frances Spenneberg of Georgia and Marguerite Anita Webster of Glencoe; five sons, John Phillip Spenneberg and George Allen Spenneberg of Carrollton, Thaddeus Marvin Spenneberg of Milwaukee, WI, Joseph Louis Spenneberg of Fairfax, VA, and Anthony Bernard spenneberg of Bay City, TX; 26 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Albert Spenneberg, five sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Evening prayers will be at 7:30 p.m.
Rev. Kavungal Davy will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, at St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton.
Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
Pallbearers are Marvin, Joe, Tony, George, Shawn and T.J. Spenneberg.
Honorary pallbearers are Dave Webster, Nathan and Brandon Spenneberg.
