Arnold William Taylor, 84

 Verona resident Arnold William Taylor died Thursday, December 20, at his home. He was 84 years old.
Mr. Taylor was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Pine Knot Church of God, a member of the NRA and was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapshooter and boater. He retired in 1983 from General Motors where he worked as an assembler.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Hamlin Neal Taylor; two sons, Lyle Anthony Taylor of Jamestown and Dale Arnold Taylor of Newport; one daughter, Linda Contadino of Loveland, Ohio; one brother, Alvie Taylor of Goshen, Ohio; three sisters, Verda Brown of Columbus, Georgia, Belva King of Verona, and Lou Verna Turner of Pine Knot; two stepsons, Jimmie Neal of Pine Knot and Conley Neal of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; one stepdaughter, Diane Neal of Pine Knot; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Saturday, December 22, at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden. The funeral service was held immediately following visitation. Burial was at the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
