Chester Eugene Beach, 88

  Dayton resident Chester Eugene Beach died Friday, August 10, at Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport. He was 88 years old.
Mr. Beach was born in Gallatin County. He worked for the C. Schmidt Co. as a sheet metal worker for 48 years after serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bellevue for many years but most recently was a member of Dayton-Bellevue Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Groves Beach; one son, Douglas Eugene Beach of Fisher, Indiana; one daughter, Sharon Montgomery of Highland Heights; two sisters, Mary Frances See of Union and Roberta Glacken of Glencoe; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Tuesday, August 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home in Bellevue. The funeral was held Tuesday, August 14, at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate.
