Carol Ruth Brashear Thomas, 77

 Warsaw resident Carol Ruth Brashear Thomas died Saturday, May 19, at Gallatin Health Care in Warsaw. She was 77 years old.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, worked with Vacation Bible School and served as organist. She also played the piano at Dry Ridge Personal Care Home, entertaining the patients on Sundays. She was a homemaker, a farmer, and former store clerk for Charlie Young’s Grocery.
She is survived by her husband, Redford “Bubby” Thomas, Jr. of Warsaw; one son, Randy Thomas of Walton; one daughter, Judy Thomas of Warsaw; one brother, David Brashear of Warsaw; one sister, Eva Barnett of Dry Ridge; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert “Bobby” Brashear.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 24, at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Napoleon IOOF Cemetery.
