Richard Rider, Jr., 56

 Richard Rider Jr. of Morristown, Tennessee, died at his home, Saturday, April 24. He was 56 years old.
A graduate of Gallatin County High School, he held degrees from Eastern Kentucky University and from Northern Kentucky University where he earned his advanced degree in nursing.
He was employed by St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood before moving to Washington D.C. where he was employed by the Columbia Hospital for Women Medical Center. He retired after 22 years of nursing, many of them as assistant head nurse of labor and delivery at Columbia Hospital.
He is survived by his mother, Edith (Boots) Rider of Warsaw; one brother, Greg Rider of Latonia; one sister, Deborah Ellis of Warsaw; one brother-in-law, Tom Ellis Warsaw; one niece, Tera Henery of Warsaw; one nephew, Thomas Ellis of Warsaw; and three great-nieces, Madison, Macee and Serenity.
Mayes Funeral Home of Morristown handled the arrangements. A memorial service was held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Morristown, Tuesday, May 11, at 6 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Tadmor Masonic Lodge of Warsaw.
